This powerful film unequivocally presents a history of anti-India, anti-Hindu, and anti-right broadcasting shedding light on the detrimental role it has played in shaping misleading narratives about India on the global stage.

Produced and coordinated by the Global Hindu Federation team, presented by Pt. Satish K Sharma, ‘BBC On Trial’ meticulously investigates the multifaceted strategies employed by the BBC to manipulate information and perpetuate division. The documentary features compelling evidence, including first-hand testimonies, qualitative research, and historical inquiry that underscore how the BBC has consistently distorted the truth to serve its seemingly colonialist agenda.

Since its teaser launch on Vijaya Dashami, the trailer had already garnered an astonishing 1.35 million views on X in the first 48 hours, reflecting the intense global interest and concern surrounding the BBC’s activities. The film’s objective is clear; it raises the question of whether the BBC should be banned outright in former colonies, especially India, challenging viewers to confront the unacceptable consequences of allowing such a biased institution to operate unchecked.

The documentary also delves into the BBC’s troubling origins, including its far right extremist roots, as well as its record of concealing involvement in numerous sexual abuse scandals. These historical injustices reveal a consistent pattern of ethical failures that have plagued the institution. As Pt. Satish K. Sharma powerfully states, “It really is time to put the BBC, this agent of chaos and discord, this modern-day Iago, on trial, most especially in Bharat, that was India, the jewel in the crown.”

In a first of its kind, the funding for this vital project was made possible through crowd-sourcing by dedicated Hindus from India, the UK, the USA, and New Zealand, showcasing a global community’s resolve to confront misinformation and seek the truth. Additionally, the film features contributions from noted commentators such as Kapil Dudakia (@kk_oeg) and Ruchir Sharma (@ruchirsharma_1) who provide insights into the implications of the BBC’s actions on public opinion and policy-making.
